Stephanie has an expert understanding of all aspects of good governance and scheme issues which she uses to provide additional support to schemes. She has worked as part of in-house pensions teams in both the corporate and charity sectors, following several years in general governance, secretariat and compliance roles in the public sector.

Stephanie has practical experience of complex schemes and has specialised in scheme governance; member engagement and communications; the impacts of business transformation and change; regulatory compliance; and bespoke project scoping, implementation and management.

Stephanie has experience working with large schemes with complex sponsors. She has open, pragmatic working relationship with the employers on these schemes which ensures that they run smoothly. In particular, she has recent experience managing the impacts of the sale of a sponsoring employer, as part of a global group, to an overseas investment consortium, and also in responding to the changing priorities at the global head office of another sponsoring employer, in order to keep the legacy pension scheme on track with its long-term objectives.

Stephanie also has specific experience in supporting sponsoring employers’ factor in their obligations to their pension schemes and members during periods of reorganisation and transformation, which has become particularly pertinent as many businesses reflect on the impacts of the pandemic and other global events and try to position themselves. She is sensitive to an employer’s particular restrictions, business priorities and concerns in challenging commercial environment, whilst also considering their need to attract and retain the best talent with competitive remuneration packages.

Stephanie has good working relationships with trustees and advisers to manage the large volume of BAU, project and strategic work in-line with SLAs and decision milestones, ensuring an excellent member experience is provided and projects are delivered on time, to budget and to expectations.

Stephanie is in the process of becoming a fully accredited professional pensions trustee with the Association of Professional Pension Trustees.
